                       Evolution

The first showing at Artists at Large will include a collection of paintings by the “Teacher” and the Student. The exhibit will give the viewer a chance to take a deep breath as he or she emerges from the calamity of the holiday seasons. The showing will allow one to sit back for a moment and enjoy some easy viewing. Most of the artwork is done in the traditional style, suggesting realism and fantasy as well. Many portraits, landscapes, flowers and other subjects of artistic interest will adorn the walls of the Artists at Large gallery. Some of the art will be displayed in a practical manner. The subject matter is diverse enough to ensure everyone who visits an enjoyable and memorable experience. The disparity of age and experience between the artist and the teacher make for an easy study, and the show may be easily deemed a once in a lifetime event. This difference is only part of the story. The other part of the story, heard by some and seen by others is heart-warming and inspirational. The opportunity to see how these two artists work to make their dreams come true should not be missed by anyone who enjoys critical yet creative art. 

        This project is the first cooperative showing for these two artists, and is sure to inspire any one who may be thinking of being an artist someday.  The success of the last show was due to the outpouring of support that I received from my friends and associates. Many thanks to them and some of them have already committed to support me on this show as well. This Rolart Art show will be exciting and surprising. As interest in this Rolart Concept of gallery shows developed, it will become apparent how important it is to promote Community Artists and organizations like Artists at Large.

 The Opening will be Friday, January 9 from 7 to 10 pm. The event will offer food and drink and the music will be provided by serious and dynamic musicians who will blend in perfectly with the art. You are cordially invited to come for a moment of fun, to view the art, listen to music and network. This event is the third “Rolart Concept” Event. The event will be personable and will give the audience as well as the participants a chance to interact.  The music will be a potpourri of rhythm and blues, smooth jazz and soul. The talent is invited to perform because of their dedication to their craft and their individual commitment to the community. The list of musicians may grow and there may be musicians there who may not appear on the original flyer. This event is a true *Rolart Event and is sure to please and leave everyone with something to remember and talk about. At a glance you may not know who these musicians are, but when you get to meet and talk to them in this up close setting, you may be surprised at who they really are.  This event is promised to be awesome.
